    Takes place on Sunday - 45 Kms (1 way) to North - West from Lao Cai
    From Lao Cai station to North-west about 45 kms is Muong Hum market, which has preserved nearly intact its life - style, imbued with culture tradition.
    Muong Hum market convenes on every Sunday is a place where local people meet and communicate. The town is awakening by human and horses sounds and colored by the costume worm by local people come down from mountain around. On the day, the elderly often have heart - to - heart talks while young people are absorbed in intimate chats or fix on their wedding date.

    Take places on Sunday - 68 Kms to North - East from Lao Cai
    From Sapa to North East about 110 Kms on every Sunday is Bac Ha market - the most colorful market in the region. Many hamlets: Black H'Mong, Flower H'Mong, Dzay, Dzao... are so far way from market has to set off for the market on the previous day's afternoon and when twilight falls, they hasten market.
    Every Sunday morning, restaurant owner get up quite early to slaughter goats and horses to prepare the traditional dish called "Thang Co" - a disk of the stewed meet, bones intestines of the killed goats and horses.
    When going to market, young boys bring flutes and panpipe with them or take chickens or a bottle of horny, which are then for sales to get money to invite their friends or lover to a "Thang Co" Restaurant.
    In the corner where brocade and embroidery are displayed for sales, the girl showing off their skill cloths and embroidering and weaving designs of patterns.
    On both side of the path, couples are unwilling parting. The market has finish, however, after saying Goodbye, everyone eagerly waits for the next market day.
    @ Departing from Sapa in the morning, it takes nearly 3 hours drive to Bac Ha. Visit the market around 2 hours. Have lunch in the local restaurant.
    In the afternoon, drive back to Lao Cai station where you catch the night train back to Hanoi (quickly visit to Ban Pho villages).

  5. BINH LU & TAM DUONG MARKET
    Take places on Sunday - 70 Kms to North - West from Lao Cai
    Departs Sapa at around 6.00am by Russian Jeep and arrives in Binh Lu market at around 8.00am, and in Tam Duong market at around 9.30am. The trip is a unique opportunity to discover the real Northwest fair. Returns Sapa on the same day at around 4.00pm (in time for you catch the bus to the Locai station)
