This stunning island getaway lies off Vietnam’s central coast, 60km north of Nha Trang. If you prefer a little more in the way of activity, Whale Island is the perfect spot for all kinds of water sports; take an invigorating speedboat trip, navigate the crystal clear waters in a catamaran or explore the fascinating coral reef. Sure we need boat in our isolated situation. We have renewed traditional fishing boats for your transfer from the mainland, or to reach dive sites. Our Speedboats are available for your transportation, to or from the island at any time of the day. For your leisure, catamarans, wind surf and canoe are available.

This wonderful, back to nature resort overlooks the beautiful Van Phong Bay, classified by the World Tourism Organisation as a protected site; the resort itself is actively involved in the local nature protection program, contributing to the preservation of the breathtaking inshore tropical forest, mangrove swamps and coral reef. Just twenty comfortable rooms housed in traditional style bamboo bungalows, overlooking the clear blue sea, lend an air of intimate exclusivity to Whale Island Resort. The outdoor Terrace Bar, with its wonderful ocean views, is an ideal place for your evening aperitif under the stars before dinner in the informal restaurant where the menu relies on the catch of the day. Succulent swordfish, exotic barracuda and juicy shrimps are just some of the delicious fresh seafood delivered daily by local fishermen. Whale Island Resort is the ideal relaxing retreat for your leisurely exploration of one of Vietnam’s most unspoilt off shore islands

 

Accommodation
The 23 traditional bungalow are constructed in bamboo with sea sightseeing. Simple single and double bed with mosquito net. Every on pillar " paillote" is equipped with a fan with a shower room with sink and toilet.

 

Dining
The food will be the daily catch by fishermen:
 Sword fish, barracuda, grouper, tuna, crab, shrimps...

The Vietnamese cuisine is famous all over the world, we will propose you the best of it with a new set up menu every day. Vegetarian dishes also available on request.

 

At the end an active or idle day, you will enjoy the sunset over the Cordillere from the terrace of the bar. At aperitif time people use to speak about sport performances of the day.
