COOKING CLASS
Visitors from all over the world have left Hoi An
clutching a booklet of Miss Vy's traditional family
recipes, along with memories and photographs of her
long-established cookery demonstrations and lessons. Some
visitors to Hoi An have just a day or two, whilst many
often try to extend their stay. If you have limited time,
Vy can give you a demonstration of her culinary art in a
little over an hour, whilst anyone who has the time would
be recommended to book one of her 'hands-on' lessons, for
which she has become known by gourmet journalists and
travelers from all around the world.
On this page, you will find information about the most
original and the best cooking classes in Hoi An. Trinh
Diem Vy has been showing avid audiences how to cook some
fantastic traditional family dishes for many years now,
and no-one has put as much time and effort into such a
program as Vy. Through her several years of experience
combined with her patience and proficiency of English, you
will be shown and taken through the motions of actually
making some fine and delicate Hoi An dishes. |

Vietnamese cooking.
As her student you will shop with her, at the Hoi An
Central Market. Then return by cyclo to the fully equipped
kitchen to learn how it's done and to practice the

in triangles around a stuffing of carrot, rice vermicelli,
and mushrooms, with a tasty pink shrimp on top. We let the
tail stick out of the little package. It serves as a
handle, and provides the name of this little treasure, tom
phi tien (flying shrimp spring roll). We have to wrap it
tightly and neatly so that it will not fall apart while

to visit Myson Cham ruined tower. Myson is one of the most stunning
sights in Hoi An area, and a UNESCO World Heritage recognized Site.
During the century when Tra Kieu ( then known as Simhapura) served
as the political capital of Champa, My Son was the site of the most
important Cham intellectual and religious centre, and also may
served as a burial place for Cham monarchs. My Son is considered to
be Cham’s counterpart to the grand cities of South-East Asia’s other
Indian influenced civilizations: Angkor( Cambodia), Bagan(
Myanmar)Ayuthaya (Thailand) and Borobudur (Java).
