Itinerary:
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City (Sai Gon) to
Vinh Long to Can Tho (L)
Pick-up at your hotel, then drive to My
Tho (2-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City)
and visit Vinh Trang Pagoda. My Tho is a
prosperous town of 175,000 inhabitants
in the Mekong Delta. It is famous for
its extensive orchards and immense rice
fields. Enjoy a boat ride on the Mekong
River and visit an orchard on an island.
Continue to Cantho. Visit local fish and
fruit market .
Overnight in Can Tho
Day 2: Can Tho to Soc Trang to Can
Tho(B,L)
Morning boat cruise on the Mekong Delta
to Visit cai Rang floating market.
Drive to Soc Trang a small town well
off the beaten tourist track with some
unusual
attractions. Here we will see the
remnant population of the ancient Khmers
who have continued to occupy this area
after this region was incorporated into
VietNam. Return to the Hotel. .
Overnight in Can Tho
Day 3: Can Tho to Cao Lanh-Tam Nong (B,L)
Morning drive to Cao Lanh, boat to Rung
Tram Forest - secret Viet Cong base
during the Vietnam War. Picnic lunch.
Cruise to visit the white stork
nesting area. Drive to Tam Nong.
Overnight in local hotel.
Day 4: Tam Nong to Chau Doc (B,L)
Boat to visit Tram Chim National
Wetlands Reserve. Travel to Chau Doc and
the Cambodian border.
Overnight in Chau Doc.
Day 5: Chau Doc (B,L)
Sightseeing: floating houses, Cham
ethnic minority villages, Sam Mountain,
Temple of Lady Chua Su. Option to visit
the Bone Pagoda in Ba Chuc.
Overnight in Chau Doc.
Day 6: Chau Doc to Ho Chi Minh(B)
Return to Ho Chi Minh City by car or
hydrofoil. Free time.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City
Day 7: Ho Chi Minh City (B)
Transfer or departure from Tan Son Nhat
airport.
