Driving south
east from Saigon, we visit the former Australian base at Nui Dat
and the modest memorial at Long Tan before continuing on to Vung
Tau via Baria. In Vung Tau, we visit the impressive White Villa,
the lighthouse and Giant Jesus statue, followed by time to relax
on the beach.
DAY 1:
HO CHI MINH CITY TO VUNG TAU
This morning at 08.00am you will be met at your hotel by a guide and driver for the 2 - 3 hour drive south
to the resort town of Vung Tau. On arrival check into your hotel
then spend the afternoon touring the city. Visit the White
Villa, the impressive Statue of Jesus, the harbour and Back
Beach. In the evening you have the opportunity to try some of
the town's famous seafood at one of its lively local restaurants
(not included).

DAY 2: VUNG TAU TO HO
CHI MINH CITY
This morning travel to the town of Ba Ria, approximately 25km
from Vung Tau. From here, drive the short distance to the former
Australian base at Nui Dat. Also visit Long Tan, the Horseshoe
and drive through the Long Hai hills. Return to Ho Chi Minh City late afternoon. (B)
