The pogodas are about 30 km west of Hanoi in Ha Tay province. Thay Pogoda
also known as Thien Phuc ( Heavenly
Blessing) , is dedicated to Thich Ca
Budha( Sakyamuni, the historial Budha)
and 18 arhats appear on the central
altar. On the left is a statue of the
12th-century monk Tu Dao Hanh, the
master after whom the pogoda is named ;
on the right is a statue of King Ly Nhan
Tong, who is believed to have been a
reincarnation of Tu Dao Hanh.Tay Phuong
Pogoda also known as Sung Phuc Pogoda,
consists of three single –level
structures built in descending order on
a hillock said to resemble a buffalo.
The figures representing the conditions
of man are carved from jackfruit wood,
many dating from the 18th century, and
are the pagoda’s most celebreated
feature.
8am we will drive through the country
side to Thay pagoda. Walk to visit Thay
pagoda. We then continue onto
Tay Phuong, visit Tay Phuong pagoda and the paper fan Vác
village, other name of Canh Hoạch
village (Dân Hoà comune, Thanh Oai
district).
Visit Van Phuc silk weaving village
before returning to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi
around 17.00.
