Day 1: Phnom Penh
Arriving in Phnom Penh you will be welcomed and accompanied to your hotel. With time permitting there will be a tour of the city including the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda, the National Museum and Wat Phnom Pagoda. This evening your guide will take you to dine at one of the city’s fine restaurants.

Day 2: Phnom Penh
Following breakfast we depart to Tonle Bati taking in the temples of Ta Prhom and Yeay Peau. From here we proceed to Ta Keo, where we board our boat that will take us to Phnom Da, stopping along the way to explore some caves with shrines carved into the walls. Other places of interest include the pre Angkorian Phnom Da temple, the ancient capital of Angkor Borei and the Phnom Chisor Mountain for a spectacular view over the surrounding plains. We will return to Phnom Penh by late afternoon or early evening.

Day 3: Phnom Penh - Kongpong Thom
This morning we depart Phnom Penh for the 130 km drive to Kongpong Thom stopping along the way at Kongpong Cham to view some beautiful examples of colonial architecture, and to visit the Wat Nokor temple. Following lunch we continue our drive to Kongpong Thom. There will be visits to some more temples and a local village for a chance to meet with the local villagers before arriving at Kongpong Thom late in the afternoon.

Day 4:     Kongpong Thom - Phnom Penh
Breakfast this morning will be at a local restaurant before departing for Sambor Prei Kuk, 30 km away. Here we will visit some of the area’s 100 temples, some dating back to the 6th century. After lunch we drive back to the hotel for some refreshments, before returning to Phnom Penh.

Day 5:     Siem Reap
A morning tour including the Killing fields, Toul Sleng and the Russian Market will bring us a deeper understanding about Cambodia’s past and present. There will be a little free time after lunch before being transferred to the airport for a 45 minute flight to Siem reap. At Siem Reap we will be met by our guide and transferred to our hotel. There are no activities planned for the rest of the day but our guide will outline the itinerary for the following days over dinner.

Days 6 to 9: Angkor Complex
For the next four days we will discover the history, culture and lifestyle of the ancient Khmer people as we explore the many wonders and intricate architecture of the many temples in this area. This will, of course, include Angkor Wat itself, the largest ceremonial structure in the world and considered a wonder of the modern world.

Day 10: Seam Reap
We have breakfast at the hotel and enjoy some last minute shopping until being transferred to the airport for the onward flight.
